The second season of Barry premiered on HBO in the United States on March 31, 2019. Like the previous, it consists of eight episodes, with the season finale first airing on May 19, 2019.
The season was critically acclaimed and was nominated for multiple Emmy awards; Bill Hader won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the second year in a row, while Anthony Carrigan, Stephen Root, Henry Winkler and Sarah Goldberg were all nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actor/Actress categories.
