- "I know there's more to me than that, but maybe, I don't know, maybe there's not – maybe this is all I'm good at."
- ―Barry Berkman to Gene Cousineau
Barry Berkman (March 15, 1978 – c. 2027) was a U.S. Marine who became a contract killer after being discharged during a tour in Afghanistan. His hits were organized by his handler, Monroe Fuches, and they operated out of the Cleveland area for years, though Barry's murders eventually dragged him into a deep depression and existential crisis.
In 2018, Fuches and Barry moved to Los Angeles to work for the Chechen Mafia, where Barry became enamored with an acting class taught by Gene Cousineau. He attempted to leave his life of violence to be an actor, though he was repeatedly forced to return to killing by his criminal associates and later his own poor choices.
As Barry's mental state deteriorated from the stress of trying to understand himself amidst these circumstances, he dragged both Cousineau and Sally Reed into his criminal activities, at first unintentionally but later on purpose, which led him and Sally to go into hiding for years. Around 2027, Barry returned to L.A. and was killed by Cousineau, who was convicted of all of Barry's murders due to a faulty investigation and later arrested.
Biography[]
Background[]
Barry was born in 1978 and at the age of seven met Monroe Fuches who quickly became a father figure to Barry throughout his life.
Military career[]
At some point earlier in his life, Barry joined the United States Marine Corps and was sent to Afghanistan. During his tour in Sangin, Barry was in a lookout point where he spotted three suspicious individuals nearby their hideout and decided to take them out, hitting each one with incredible accuracy and marksmanship. This is where Barry killed his first person and was praised by his colleagues including Albert Nguyen. This would later brew a sense of guilt inside as he was encouraged by his fellow marines for killing them, which he attributed to his indifference toward killing in later life.
At some point after this, Barry, Albert, and other soldiers were stationed in Korengal investigating the murder of a donkey. They were attacked with Albert being shot in the face. Still alive, Barry attempted to save him but quickly felt a rage build in him and broke into a nearby building, shooting a man multiple times. Barry was soon stopped by other soldiers and was told that he killed the wrong man. Other soldiers turned on him and was eventually sent to a German hospital after which he was generally discharged, with Fuches having pulled a few favors.
Illegal activity[]
Returning to the U.S., Barry grew depressed and lived a life without a purpose. He wouldn't leave his house for months, opening a door for Fuches to walk through and show him the life of a hitman. They became partners with Barry performing the hits while Fuches arranged them. They mostly worked out of the Cleveland area for a while until a new and much bigger job opened.
A new partnership[]

A new partnership.
In 2018, Barry was given an assignment from Fuches that was for the Chechen Mafia stationed in Los Angeles which was under the control of Goran Pazar. The same day, Barry flew out to L.A. and met with Pazar and his accomplice NoHo Hank at Pazar's home. Barry was given the hit on Ryan Madison for having an affair with Pazar's wife.
Birth of an acting career[]

Barry's first lesson
Barry followed Ryan to a local acting class run by Gene Cousineau and watched as students did scenes from movies. Barry was forced to be on the stage with Ryan after Ryan's partner hadn't shown up. Barry was invited by Sally Reed to come with the rest of the class to a local bar and celebrate. There, he and Madison began talking where Barry was given his stage name, Barry Block. Barry took Madison back home where the Chechens caught Madison hugging Barry.
Living a double life[]
The following night, Barry went to Ryan's home to kill him only to find him already dead. He spots Hank and two other Chechens in a nearby car and quickly killed two of them before running off. Barry was with the acting class the next day when the news about Ryan was revealed and was told to use the grief in his acting.

Killing Paco
Barry visits Fuches at their hotel room only to get a call from Sally. Barry goes to the balcony and is asked if he'd like to do a scene with her for the memorial which he accepts. During the call, the Chechens break into the room and attempt to take Fuches. Barry is also attacked and both are taken back to Pazar's house. Pazar begins to torture Fuches until Barry finally accepts to perform a hit on a Bolivian named Paco Zambrana.
Barry attended Ryan's memorial that night during which he was given all the information he needed for Paco's hit. He began to tense up as Ryan's father, George Krempf took the stage and thanked them for doing this before breaking down and crying out for why someone would kill Ryan. The speech heavily impacted Barry, who stormed out as he felt affected by realizing the damage he inflicted. Sally consoled him and decide to cancel their performance. Barry then accompanied Sally home, who suddenly said that they should have sex but Barry declined.
The next day, Barry went to Paco's home and despite having clear shots on him, was told to wait until a Chechen bullet arrived at the Bolivian Mafia's headquarters. Barry is called by Sally during this if he can help her to which he agrees despite knowing the bullet's arrival could interfere. While there, Barry is given the go to kill Paco but Sally wants him to be there for comfort. Barry is forced to leave her and heads to Paco's house and strangled him to death in his backyard.
Barry went back to Sally's house to Sally asking him if she has a chance of being a star. When Barry agrees that she can, they kiss and go in to have sex.
A new hitman[]
Sally set up a Facebook account for Barry and looked up his friend and a former Marine, Chris Lucado. The two met up at a house party at one of the acting student's Natalie Greer's house. Chris brought two of his friends, Taylor Garrett and Vaughn. Barry also saw that Sally was talking to another guest, Zach Burrows which angered Barry who rushed up and told Zach to back off. This led to Barry and Sally fighting and calling off their fling.
As Barry got into his car, Taylor also got in and told him that he wants in on whatever job Barry does. The next day, Barry is questioned by detective Janice Moss but avoided suspicion with an alibi performed by Fuches. Being allowed to leave, Barry went to Fuches, Pazar, and Hank to discuss killing Taylor while going after a Bolivian stash house.

A new plan
In the acting class, the class debated the morality of killing causing Barry to lash out at them due to also killing people in the military. Barry stormed out.
Barry and Taylor then started the raid at the stash house, killing many Bolivians. At one point, Barry is knocked out and daydreamed about his child at school. When he woke up, he saw that Taylor killed everyone and saved his life. Taylor then began taking some of the money from the Bolivians, while Barry prepared to shoot him while his back is turned. The next morning, Barry met with Fuches at a restaurant, who is happy to see that he survived the raid. Fuches started calming him when he thinks he killed Taylor, when suddenly Taylor joins them, Barry having not followed his order.
Soon after, Barry, Fuches, and Taylor were surveying an airstrip that Bolivian mob boss Cristobal Sifuentes was supposed to land at. Fuches once again told Barry that Taylor has to die before storming off. Barry went out with Taylor to his apartment where Barry suggested that Taylor could work for Fuches while he quits his hitman life, but Taylor refused and told Barry to kill Fuches. He also gave Barry part of the money he recovered from the stash house but Barry didn't want to take the money.
At the acting class, Barry apologized to the class for his outburst, but they assure him that they were at fault for being unaware of his feelings. As the class began, Barry found the money in his backpack and quickly ran to the bathroom to hide it. He then performed a Macbeth scene with Sally, which is going poorly. To improve his delivery, Gene had Barry and Sally repeatedly say "I love you" to each other, making them change their tones, and exercising their ability to adapt to how the scene develops.
After the class ends, Barry is frustrated with the constant messages from Taylor. Barry personally called him, telling him that he will do the airstrip job by himself. However, the next day, Barry ran into Taylor fully clad in a military uniform in a car. Barry is forced to get in when he sees Chris and Vaughn were also there.
A hit gone wrong[]
Barry attempted to get Chris out of the car who is unaware of what is going on but failed. The car passed the spot where they were going to station themselves and Barry began to warn Taylor who decided they'd drive straight up to the plan. As they approach, their car is gunned down, with the bullets hitting Taylor and Vaughn and the car starting to spiral out of control.
Barry woke up before the Bolivians could arrive and fled, leaving the corpses of Taylor and Vaughn behind. Barry is later found by a Bolivian henchman but Barry sees Chris sneak up on the henchman. Barry yells at Chris to shoot the man or else they both die, growing louder with each order. After Chris finally killed him, the two fled.
A couple days later, Barry and Chris met up in a remote location where Chris told him that to clear his conscience, he will go to the authorities and confess. Barry tried to convince him otherwise but when it is clear that Chris will not listen and that their alibis can be uncovered, Barry is forced to kill him, staging it as a suicide.

Go Time
Barry returned to the acting class. Barry waited in the wings and started getting overwhelmed with the guilt of killing Chris and suffers an emotional breakdown. He then went on stage and tearfully delivers his one line. After the show, Gene congratulated and praised Barry backstage, but he was still overwhelmed with guilt, punching a glass frame in response.
Leaving it behind[]
Barry went to their hotel room and punched Fuches while taking the money they had gained from their hits with the Chechens. Barry is quickly dragged back in when Hank informs him that Pazar and the other Chechens are planning to execute Fuches so he should leave the area.
Instead of leaving, Barry rushes to Pazar's home and kills all the Chechens in the room including Pazar who was seconds away from killing Fuches. Barry grabs Fuches and drives him to the airport where he says he's done with him and cuts ties with Fuches, leaving him there and driving off.

Barry and Sally
A couple weeks later, Barry is once again with Sally and are at Cousineau's lake house preparing for a new show. The two welcome Janice as she arrives and the three along with Gene have dinner that night. During the dinner, Barry grew worried as Gene recounts Barry's monologue about killing people. That night, Barry went to the dock to find Janice already figuring out that Barry is the killer. Barry attempted to convince her not to turn him in but Janice refused to budge so Barry killed her and left her body in the woods.

Class in Awe
The three returned to L.A. and Barry rallied the acting class to still perform their show despite Gene's current state. During one of the rehearsals, Gene had entered and cancelled the play while also announcing he would shut the class down. Barry changed his mind by revealing the story of when he first killed someone in Afghanistan. The actors, Nick Nicholby and Sasha Smith portray him as remorseful while in real life, Albert Nguyen and the other marines were celebrating. His reaction convinces the class that he was horrified by the experience of killing someone, but he was rather horrified by the encouragement and celebration he got from his fellow marines
Barry is then confronted in the parking lot by Hank and is given a new assignment to kill the head of the Burmese mob Esther, threatening to tell his family the truth about Goran and then kill him and the class if he refused. Barry agreed to help.
Back to the double life[]
Barry is hesitant on doing the job, as he wanted to leave his criminal life behind, but Hank's threat left him with no choice. Barry arrived at class, seeing that the students are now trying to up the stakes on his performance and perform their biggest tragedies, with some even remarking jealousy of not going to war like him. Gene announced his intentions of a performance where the students play a short piece that perfectly encapsulated their own personal truth. Barry visited Gene, asking to use a different story as he does not want his truth to represent death. Gene only accepts when Barry wants to use the day they first met.
That night, Barry snuck into Esther's monastery to kill her. However, he is haunted by his actions from Afghanistan and is unable to kill her. He decided to leave, accidentally entering a room with members of the Burmese mob. The mob followed him outside and he tried to flee in his car. However, his car was hit by the bullets and he crashed the car. A wounded Barry escaped the car and returned to his apartment.
Barry was then asked by Sally if he'd like to help her with her scene that revolved around her ex-husband Sam. When Sam arrived, Barry expressed discomfort with how Sally is handling the situation until he learns that Sally's story about him is a lie. When Sam learned of how he was being portrayed, Barry decided to kill him. Barry went to Sam's place and tried to kill him but left when he saw that Sally was there.
Training an Army[]

Day One
Barry prepared for a monologue about his war experiences in the Korangal Valley. He decided to focus on the first time he saved a life, but the events proved to be even more traumatic, as it involved his partner Albert being gravely wounded. As he continued, he noticed that someone was shooting at him. Barry fired back, hitting a Chechen, Akhmal and rushed out to find him with Hank. Barry offered to train his men who were deemed poorly educated. Hank agreed.
Barry's first day as an instructor to Hank's henchmen proved to be difficult, with most of them failing to hit a single bottle. Barry singled out one henchman, Mayrbek as he is the only one who had any skill. Barry watched as other Chechens congratulated him, angering him. Barry threatened Mayrbek that if he gave the other guy a chance to fire, he'll die.
Barry went with Hank to check on his henchmen's training, which improved drastically. After their training is over, Hank told Barry that their debt has been settled, handing him a pin as a gift. Mayrbeck thanked Barry for giving him purpose and showing him how to be useful as a soldier.
The Proxins[]

Am I a Bad Person?
One night, Barry detailed his story to Gene about Albert in Korangal Valley and revealed he killed an innocent man out of blind rage. Gene's words that everyone can have a second chance comforted Barry who quickly went to Fuches who had come back into town. Despite Fuches' attempts to prevent Barry from saying anything, Barry confessed to killing Moss. Loach entered the room and told Barry that if he kills Ronny Proxin he'll let him go.
With no other choice, Barry went to the Proxin home and waits for Ronny to come home. When Ronny came home, Barry informed him that Loach sent him to kill him, but he doesn't want to do it, instead offering him a car to return to Chicago, where Barry will send him money.
Ronny unexpectedly accepted the offer and started to back. Barry searched the room and found that he is a Taekwondo master with dozens of trophies. Distracted, Barry is kicked by Ronny and a fight broke out, Barry breaking Ronny's windpipe. Ronny attempts to fight back but past out before he can do anything.
Barry headed towards the door but ran into Ronny's daughter, Lily. Barry tried to calm her down but she attacked him and is also very skilled in Taekondo, being able to stab him numerous times in the back before escaping. Barry hurried out of the house and got back into the car with Fuches.
Barry passed out but when he woke, he revealed that he was seen by Lily. They drove through the neighborhood and found Lily but when Fuches tried to talk to her, Lily ran onto a rooftop. That night, Barry's wounds are treated with superglue until they hear a noise on the rooftop. Barry watched as Lily ripped a piece of Fuches' face off and as Lily ran off.

Injured Barry
They arrived at a drug store for supplies for Fuches but while Barry shopped, Ronny entered. The two fought until Loach entered and shot Ronny. Barry fled as Ronny killed Loach and was killed himself moments later.
Leaving Fuches again[]
Once again, Barry told Fuches that they are cutting ties after Fuches tried to rat him out to Loach. The two argued, Barry stating that Gene knows him better. At the acting class, Barry is informed by Sally that the scene the two of them will be preparing is different now, now being more truthful.
As they perform the scene, Barry used his trauma over Moss' murder for inspiration, managing to deliver a terrifying and frightening performance, which is met with applause. Barry then helped Sally with her audition for a studio but while there, is offered a role by a talent agent.
Barry approached Gene about his role, with Gene finding that he is actually the lead of the film. Gene then helped Barry to prepare for his audition, even expressing surprise that he managed to get the audition for a big role. Barry goes in to his audition is told that Gene won't be there as they found a lead in Janice's murder. Barry is surprised when the detective turned out to be Fuches.

Barry threatening Fuches
Barry told him that he will return to his criminal life if he lets Gene live but Fuches hung up. Barry left his audition early and rushed towards Gene's lake house and when he gets there he saw Fuches fleeing the scene. Barry found Gene but both are brought into custody. When Barry is released, he called Fuches and threatened to kill him.
Barry goes to the performance hall and when both get on stage, Barry is shocked when Sally changed the scene. After the scene, Barry learned that Gene would be released after Barry left a Chechen pin in the car. Then Barry got a text from Hank saying Fuches was at the Chechen's main base of operations.
Monastery massacre[]
Barry arrived at the monastery and walked inside to Esther screaming at him. Barry killed Esther and began slaughtering the Chechen, Bolivians, and Burmese as Fuches runs out of the room. Barry killed everyone in the room beside Hank and Cristobal who fled in time. Barry moved through the monastery, killing anyone he saw. Barry broke into a room where Mayrbek was and when Mayrbek hesitated, Barry killed him. Barry rushed to the outside but was unable to catch Fuches who drove off.
Fallout[]

Depressed Barry
Months after the massacre, Barry had fallen on hard times. His relationship with Sally had become lifeless with Barry being distracted by video games and his lack of purpose while Sally was more interested in her show, Joplin. Barry had also resorted to the dark web for hits and was experiencing some severe hallucinations and frustrations with his next moves.

forigivng jeff?
Barry seemed to be distant from it all, even killing an angered husband and his friend Jeff even after they called off the hit. Barry eventually went to Hank and Cristobal for work but due to the events of the monastery was rejected.
Kidnapping Gene[]
After leaving Hank's home, Barry received a text from Gene asking to meet. They met the next day at the abandoned acting class and was confronted by Gene with the knowledge of Janice's murder. When Gene's bullets fell out of the gun, Barry took him to the outskirts that he had been using for his hits. While Gene begged for his life, Barry came up with the idea to fix their relationship instead of killing him.

Barry and Gene
Barry forced Gene back into the trunk of his car and they went to the set of Joplin. Barry asked Sally to give Gene a role but when she stated that she couldn't, Barry viciously screamed at her in front of everyone before leaving. Barry goes to other casting directors but all refuse, even giving Barry auditions instead.
Barry went in for one of the auditions and afterwards, told the story of how Gene helped him to the director which convinced him to give Gene a role on the show. Barry rushed back to the car to tell him only to find Gene had escaped. Barry drove off and eventually found him but was stopped when another car suddenly crashed with into his.
Barry ran to Gene's house, knowing he'd go there. When Gene arrive, Barry was already there. Barry informed Gene about their new roles, telling him to seize this second chance or he will kill Leo and his grandson. Gene silently agreed. Barry said he loves Gene and asks if he feels the same way. Gene nodded, so Barry requested him to say "I love you, Barry" aloud.
When they arrived to set, Barry was given a call by Hank but refused it as he was more focused on Gene. As they performed their scene, Barry was left speechless when Gene lashed out at him and told him never to come near him again before leaving.
Bombing the Bolivians[]
Feeling his chance with Gene is gone, Barry accepted the request made by Hank. Barry met with Hank to plan the assassination of Fernando but they were pressured by Hank's henchmen to kill all Bolivians to avoid any repercussions. Barry arrived at Fernando's house and planted the bomb but a malfunction with the app caused Barry to wait for hours to have it fixed. Once it was fixed and the bomb went off, Barry attempted to leave until he saw Cristobal, still alive. He picked him up and brought him back to Hank. He then visited Gene at his house and apologized for taking him hostage, offering him the money and stating he will never see him again.
Barry's cover is blown[]

Barry running
When Fuches returned to L.A. once again, he went to Barry's victims' families and revealed the truth to them. The first to try and take action where a mother and son named Julie and Kyle but were never able to catch Barry after a weapons malfunction.
During this, Barry had also moved back in with former classmates, Jermaine and Nick. Barry then got a call from Chris' widow, Sharon Lucado about a Veterans dinner and asked if he wanted to go, which he accepted. On his way to the dinner, the biker gang and sister of Taylor Garrett attacked him on the road.
He crashed his car into one of the bikers and took their bike, driving onto the highway and Barry managed to leave the freeway while the bikers crash into cars. Barry's bike ran out of gas just as Traci was nearby, forcing him to hide in a used car dealership. Traci arrived on top of the dealership and started firing, until she was killed by the owner with a shotgun. As the police sirens are heard, Barry left the dealership.
Poisoned[]

Barry realizing the truth
Barry finally made it to Sharon's house and began eating. As he ate, he saw Fuches' card and fell unconscious shortly after realizing Sharon poisoned the food. When Barry woke, he stumbled out of the house all while hallucinating a beach with a crowd of people. Barry was found by Ryan's father, George who took him to the hospital. In the parking lot, George talked about how much he loved and missed Ryan while Barry still hallucinated the beach which turned out to be full of people Barry had killed. When Barry woke, he was being rushed into the hospital and saw George had killed himself in the car.
When Barry was released from the hospital, he went to his apartment to find Sally there. As they talked, Barry was knocked out by the sole surviving biker. When he woke, he saw Sally killing the man and pulled her away, telling a traumatized Sally he will take responsibility for the events before telling her to leave.
Confrontation by Albert[]

Barry confronted
Barry took the body to the outskirts and dug a grave until Albert showed up. Holding him at gunpoint, Albert berated him over Chris' death and the murders he has committed. Barry, overwhelmed by the situation, collapsed and cried out in terror. Barry was allowed to go by Albert due to Barry saving his life but is told he has to stop.
Caught[]
That night Barry is called by Gene who cryptically said while having a gun ready that Janice's father, Jim Moss is trying to ruin their lives and that they need to stop him. Barry rushed over to the Moss residence and found Gene waiting outside. Barry entered the house with Gene's gun and went to kill Jim only to be ambushed by police.
Barry saw Gene staring at him and realized that the entire situation was a set-up to arrest him before being taken into custody.
Life in prison[]

Prison Life
Following his arrest, Barry was sent to the California State Penitentiary where he immediately called Gene asking if he was tricked. When he admitted that he still loves Gene, all he got in return was Gene's joy that he was able to catch Barry. Barry roamed the courtyard, daydreaming about the first time he saw the acting class until he saw Fuches. Barry stated that Fuches was right about Gene and that he regrets taking acting lessons, apologizing to him.
Later, Barry lashed out in the bathroom with a guard watching over him. When the guard attempted to calm Barry down, Barry dismissed his claims, angrily telling him that he kills cops and he could kill him and his entire family. The guard then locked the room and brutally attacked him with his baton. Fuches is then overheard outside, telling the guard that he’s an informant and to leave Barry alone. Fuches enters the bathroom and goes over to Barry while ripping off his wire and throwing it to the side. He then comforts Barry and apologizes for betraying him and telling him he loves him, which Barry says back with a smile. Later, in the TV room, he’s there when Fuches announces that he (as The Raven) and Barry are starting a prison gang. After his speech, he tells Barry he has a crooked lawyer who’s going to win their freedom and the gang is just a contingency until they leave.
The next day, Barry awoke to a guard telling him he had a visitor. Barry was surprised that Sally came to meet him and the two through codenames, confirmed that Shane's body was dealt with. Barry was happy when Sally admitted that she felt safe around him. before she left.
After constant daydreaming, Barry met with FBI agents. He offered to give up the Chechens, Bolivians, as well as many other powerful criminal organizations, in exchange for protection for him and someone else. Barry informed the FBI agents about Hank's and Cristobal's relationship. They intended to honor their deal, informing him that his companion, Sally, will have to be questioned as she must leave her life behind.

Barry on the phone
Later, Barry was visited by Lon O'Neil, who wants to hear his side of the story based on the accusations that Gene made. An angry Barry walked away from their conversation, telling him that Gene should shut up.
Escape[]
Barry was then escorted to James Curtis to finalize the deal. As Curtis was explaining the final stages of the deal, Barry noticed a man in the back who was clearly here to kill Barry. When Barry pointed it out, the man, Nestor Flores, attempted to kill him only for his weapon to malfunction and blow his fingers off. Barry took cover as his brother who was hiding in the ceiling killed everyone else in the room. Barry took one of the guns and killed the last hitman before escaping the prison.
Barry ran to Sally's home, hoping that she'd take him in but when she came home, the two decided to run off together and start a new life.
A new life[]
For the next eight years, Barry and Sally lived in a remote area with nothing around. Barry had a kid named John and was the stay at home dad while Sally worked. Barry was also John's teacher and was known for telling him stories about great men like Abraham Lincoln. However, Barry also often highlighted bad deeds that these figures committed, believing this will help John see him as good.

Barry and John
Trying to once again be seen as good in John's eyes, Barry revealed his time in the military and painted himself as a massive hero during the war. At night, Barry and Sally heard a noise which alerted both as it could be someone coming after them. Barry waited outside all night until the sun finally came up.
The next night, Barry is once again telling John stories until Sally called for Barry. Barry rushed to Sally and saw that Gene was assisting Warner Bros in a bio-pic about Barry. Barry determined that the only option was to kill Gene.
Return to L.A.[]
After Sally reveals to Barry that they are planning to make a Barry Berkman biopic with the help of Gene, Barry decides it is time to kill Gene. Barry travels back to LA and buys a gun at a local store before scouting Gene's house. He is hesitant during the day when he sees Gordon Cousineau return home from school and decides to wait till the night.
At night, Barry makes his way towards the door of Gene's home. Before he can enter the room, Jim tosses a bag over his head and knocks him out. Barry wakes up, tied up in Jim's garage to Jim staring at him. Barry was blindfolded and forced to live through what his mind created for him. He revealed that he gave Gene 250,000 dollars which sent Jim to Gene and Barry left alone. Eventually, Barry managed to escape the garage and find out that Sally and John had been kidnapped by Hank.
Final hit and death[]

Barry's corpse
Barry rushed to a nearby store and bought two assault rifles to use in order to get his family back. Barry arrived that NoHoBal that night, saying a prayer to himself in the car so that he could be forgiven of his sins and for his son to live a long, good life. Barry moved towards the building when John ran outside and into his arms. A surprised Barry looked and saw Fuches standing in darkness, exchanging a look before leaving.
That night, Barry and Sally stayed in a hotel room with Sally telling Barry that he should turn himself in but Barry rejected the idea. The next morning, he woke to Sally and John gone and figured they went to Gene's house.
Barry rushed over and entered right as Tom Posorro tried to leave. Barry demanded to see Sally and John but Tom continued to claim they weren't here. Tom began to talk Barry down and after asking Tom if they were here one last time, Barry finally accepted his fate and told Tom to call the police so he could turn himself in. Right as he admitted his guilt, Barry was shot in the chest by Gene as he entered the room. Barry fell into a chair and after seeing Gene, he muttered "Oh, wow," before being shot in the head.
Legacy[]
Barry's murder prevented him from revealing who he truly was. Gene was sent to prison while Barry was reimagined as an American hero who was manipulated and controlled by Gene. Barry was buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia with full military honors. A biopic about his time in LA was created which painted him as a true hero and had none of his villainous qualities included.
Personality[]
Awkward, anxious, and terrifying. Barry is full of contradictions. He often comes across as a shy, soft-spoken teddy bear, but he’s capable of incredibly brutal violence as well. Though he has an impressive tactical mind, Barry’s inner morality is incredibly confused. He yearns to recapture the purpose and structure of the military and can be easily swayed by his mentor figures. He’s deeply loyal to those he cares about, and he will kill anyone who threatens his sense of stability.
