Albert Nguyen is a recurring character in Barry. He was portrayed by James Hiroyuki Liao.
Albert was a Marine who served alongside Barry Berkman. He became friends with Barry but was taken out of duty after he was shot in the head while on patrol in Korengal. However, he survived this injury and was likely discharged from the military after this.
Albert returns in the third season as an FBI agent working with the LAPD in their investigation of Janice Moss's murder. He is initially shocked to learn of Barry's ambition to become an actor in Los Angeles, but grows increasingly suspicious of Barry's connections to Fuches and the death of Chris Lucado.
